Christopher Hord
Christopher Hord is a singer, songwriter, musician and producer who has been performing and recording professionally for more than 40 years. His music combines influences of classic’60s soul and pop, filtered through modern sounds and beats from genres such as Electronica and Hip-Hop.
An NYC native, Chris performed as a solo artist and in bands in the northeast for years, before moving west. He settled in Tacoma, WA, where he continued to perform until he went blind.
At that point, Chris reinvented himself in his home studio. Chris had attended Bard College, where he graduated with a BA in Music and won the Margaret Creel Schaffer Prize in Composition and Performance. He also studied at the Guitar Study Center in Manhattan. Additionally, he holds a BS in Comput Srscience from The Evergreeen State College in Olympia, Washington, and used his technical expertise and training in assistive technology to begin exploring the world of electronic composition.
He currently has two EPs – the instrumental electronica collection Berlin and the holiday-themed Holly Days, available on all major digital music platforms. Currently, Chris is remastering some of his earlier works for digital re-release.
