Holly Daze: Holiday Music For You

However, there’s a trick to this, which will make your life easier. The EP is admittedly a little… uneven? Chris’ dad had passed and he was trying to pull a tribute together and beat the deadlines to get it out before Christmas. So, as much as we hate to say it, don’t buy the whole thing, unless you specifically want the kids to get more money.

“Made It Through Christmas” is a Rolling Stones-influenced original song that anyone who has worked in a business inundated by Christmas crowds will understand. It’s sardonic but hopeful. “We Three Kings” is the classic Christmas carol with a strong jazz flavor.

Just buy those. See? We just saved you two dollars, and the kids still get it all. We’re looking out for everybody. Happy Holly Daze!

Berlin

A big part of the reason this website exists is Christopher Hord’s EP Berlin. He released it late last year but we were unable to promote it the way we would have liked, so the manhattan project decided it was time to step up in weight class and start to get the word out about our projects.

Berlin is a collection of synth-pop instrumentals inspired by thoughts of David Bowie’s retreat to the title city, as he attempted to pull himself together after the vicious grip of cocaine addiction. Berlin is, in a different way, also about cleaning up.

Berlin is currently available on many major online retailers, such as Apple, Google, Amazon, and more. It can be heard streaming on popular services such as Spotify, Last.fm, Pandora, (and Apple, Google, and Amazon, as well), and many more.

We suggest you purchase Berlin through CD Baby, where the artist get the highest percentage pay. There’s a CD Baby store right here on the site for your convenience.

Who we are

The description on the About page is deliberately vague.

That’s because the plan has always been for the manhattan project to be fairly amorphous.

We’re not a group that’s likely to perform live with any frequency, but we hope to use that as a plus, and invite a variety of artists to participate in the process.

Musically, the manhattan project has a lot of influences, but you can always look for some elements of ‘70s funk, and various experimental rock, mixed with various synth bands from the ‘70s and ‘8-s as well, we love a variety of oddball music, jazz, and various hyper-modern techniques for glitching and mangling beats. So, it can be anything, but your likely to see those threads running through it.
